Well after many years spent searching for a Golf to do up, lady luck was on my side yesterday when I spotted a MK1 GTi from 1982 for sale at a really good(pinching myself again) price, within my limited budget.
My OH and I went on the adventure to see the old girl and give her a new home, where she will be lovingly restored to showroom condition.
I know this will take me a long time, and not just time it will be money too, but when you have wanted something for this long you are prepared to put the effort in. I plan to post anything I have done to the car along with pictures when I get the chance to work on it, this will be a record of my progress for those times when I won't be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
